  • Feeding techniques and feeding plans for neurologically or anatomically challenged babies

  • Promoting exclusive breastfeeding / breast milk for Down syndrome babies

  • optimizing premature and near term infant latch/feeding, kangaroo care

  • Gentle advocacy for breastfeeding / breast milk for sick or compromised babies

  • Assisting with turning around slow weight gain in infants

  • Helping infants who lost higher percentages of weight in the first couple days post birth

  • Special situations: surgeries, mom or baby, baby in NICU, multiples

  • Help prepare moms who anticipate a C-Section, to produce milk quicker post birth

  • Second opinion on feeding plan suggestions by other health care providers

  • Advice and assistance with nursing strikes (breast refusal in older babies)

  • Communication with other health care providers

  • Writing reports for your pediatrician, family physician or midwife upon request
